A drayage desk does not need a prettier list of loads. It needs to know which four boxes out of a hundred and twenty-eight will cost money today.

The count you are worried about is one click from the list behind it.

Container numbers are normalised on write, so search finds the box whether the driver typed MSMU4615308 or msmu 461-5308.
Tasks & exceptions
One risk model produces this list, the board badges and the tiles above — so the count and the list behind it cannot disagree.
The box is not released. Nothing advances until the advance is recorded in full.
Demurrage is accruing today — and Demurrage Watch has the rebill already built.
The carrier rate is above the customer rate. The load says who agreed to it, and when.
Past terms, and on the collections worklist with the whole aging picture beside it.
No carrier and free time ending. Untouched today, this becomes the demurrage exception.
Get it out, or decide to pay per diem deliberately rather than by accident.
Behind the ETA the customer was given. Tell them before they call you.
Delivered, box still out. Per diem accrues on container and chassis, quietly.
Muting silences the toast, not the rule
A muted load stays on the list, in the risk model and in the audit trail. A mute that deleted the problem is a slower way of losing the container.
Expiry prepends everything else
A carrier whose cargo policy lapses on Friday sits above the operational exceptions on Tuesday. It is the one item that turns a delivered load into an uninsured claim.

Ready for Billing
Delivery does more than the rest. In one transaction it stamps both invoice dates, marks the load ready to bill, requests the POD, prepares the customer invoice and the carrier bill, and notifies the agent.

Container 360
The question arriving by phone is almost never “how is load AR-0431 doing”. It is “where is MSMU 461 5308 and why has it not moved”.
Forty minutes, no slides. Bring one live container and one messy invoice.
